The Great Oban Raft Race was hotly contested by 12 teams on Saturday.
Crowds flocked to George Street to see the crews take off from the beach before going past the North Pier and back.
The winning raft belonged to a team from Autoglass in Oban, who also won the prize for the most sponsorship, collecting £300 which will be matched by their employer.
In second position was the team from Oban Lifeboat, and third came Davey Ren Autos.
The event was organised by Oban Lions Club, which will donate the money raised to local charities.
Brian Simmonds of the club said: “We raised about £2,000. It was a good day with a good crowd, the rain only came on right at the end. It was a good spectacle for the visitors to the town.”
