The accident happened on the A82 Inverness-Fort William road, near Spean Bridge, at about 2.30pm this afternoon. The man in his 40s was taken by road ambulance to Belford Hospital in Fort William with chest and arms injuries. An air ambulance was initially tasked but stood down when the road ambulance arrived quickly on scene. An ambulance spokesman said that the casualty is in a “stable condition.” A police spokeswoman said that the road was not blocked as the vehicle was off the road.
