First Minister Nicola Sturgeon and her Cabinet will meet in Oban on Monday, with a public meeting in the evening.
Following successful visits this year to Ullapool, Dumfries, Aberdeen, Alloa, Inverness and Cupar, the Scottish Government cabinet is visiting the Argyll town.
A public question and answer session will take place in the Atlantis Leisure Centre from 7pm. Those attending will get the chance to chat with the cabinet later over refreshments.
Cabinet ministers will also undertake engagements at local businesses and organisations throughout the day.
The First Minister said the Scottish Government’s strong focus is on growing the economy, protecting public services, tackling inequality and empowering communities.
She said: “We believe the business of government should be open to everyone who wants to be involved and that is why the cabinet now meets regularly in towns and cities across Scotland.
“Meeting and engaging with local communities, listening to their issues and delivering real change is what this government is all about.
“We have challenged ourselves to be the most open and accessible government that Scotland has ever seen, and cabinet meetings in towns such as Oban are a fantastic way to deliver on this promise. I am looking forward to meeting local people and learning about the issues that are important to them.”
