The two vehicle accident happened on the A9 Inverness to Perth road south of Dalwhinnie, near the summit of the Drumochter pass. At first it was said that the road was blocked, but later Transport Scotland said traffic flow had been “restricted.” The incident happened at 12.45pm, with queues already forming on the busy route. Three fire crews from Newtonmore, Kingussie and Aviemore have been sent to the scene, following a reported of a person trapped.
