A man has been taken to hospital in “critical condition” after a crash between a coach and a car on the west Highland coast.
The accident happened on the A87 Kyle to Invermoriston road near Balmacara at 8.45am.
The road, which is the main gateway to Skye, is currently closed and there is a diversion in place.
There is no information about the number of people on board the bus at the time however police confirmed that an older man has been taken to hospital in Broadford.
A force spokesman added that a woman was also being treated at the scene.
An ambulance spokesman said that they received “multiple emergency calls” about the crash.
He added that two ambulances were sent to the scene.
He said: “One ambulance has now left with one patient in a critical condition.”
The car is off the road, while the coach is partially blocking the carriageway.
