A man in his 70s has been taken to hospital after injuring his leg while hillwalking in Lochaber.
Police and Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team were alerted to the accident which happened at Streap Ridge, just north east of Glenfinnan, at about 10.45am.
An Inverness Coastguard Rescue 951 helicopter was sent to help locate the casualty, understood to be a tourist who had been walking alone.
The man was uplifted by helicopter at about 1.15pm and taken to a drop off point at Carr’s corner before being taken to Belford Hospital in Fort William for treatment.
It is understood that the man’s leg gave way as he made his way up a corbett in the area, resulting in ligament damage.
