A 55-year-old Sutherland man has been reported missing from his home.
Michael Grist was last spoken to by family members in his home town of Dornoch at 11am on Thursday.
His family has described his lack of contact since as “out of character” and police have appealed for sightings of him.
Mr Grist has access to a gold Vauxhall Zafira, registration SY62 ZDM, and may be travelling in the Ross-shire or Inverness area.
He is described as being around 5ft 10in tall, of slim build with green eyes and grey hair.
When he was last seen he was wearing blue jeans and a dark blue t-shirt with a logo on the front.
In a statement, police said: “Mr Grist’s family are increasingly anxious for his wellbeing as his lack of contact is described as out of character.
“Police are appealing to anyone with information on Mr Grist’s wherebouts to make contact and would also appeal to Mr Grist to make contact with police or a friend or family member if possible to confirm he is safe and well.”
