The Highlands and Islands’ very own fashion week is set to return for its fourth event in October, and hopes their special guest will draw in crowds.
Rality TV star, Joey Essex, is heading to the Highlands for the first time.
The fashion week, which features five separate events showcasing local and national fashion designers as well as locally sourced models, was set up to help bring new talent into the Scottish fashion industry, and highlight the range of talents throughout the area.
Joey Essex is set to make his guest appearance at the new Highland Fashion Week event, HI Flock, which is an exclusive exhibition that combines beauty, fashion, celebrity and social media.
The reality star, who is most famous for his debut on ITV2’s hit show “The Only Way Is Essex” will attend HI Flock on Sunday October 11 from 11am – 4pm, meeting young fans at the Ironworks in Inverness.
The exhibition, which will boast a number of local and national beauty and fashion businesses, as well as food and drink companies, will also feature a unique seminar with well-known YouTube Vlogger.
The fashionable affair is expected to attract youngsters from the age of twelve upwards, offering them a completely new experience of Highland Fashion Week.
Garry James, director of Highland Fashion Week, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be welcoming Joey Essex to Highland Fashion Week and we cannot wait for him to share his thoughts on fashion and celebrity with us at our exhibition event.
“By engaging with a younger audience for this specific event, we have managed to cover a wide range of events ensuring we have something for everyone. Young people are extremely active on social media so we will incorporate YouTube and Instagram to the events.
“I believe it’s important to celebrate the local and national fashion designers Scotland boasts and putting on events like Highland Fashion Week allows designers to showcase their work to a huge audience.”
Highland Fashion Week is a range of fashion events taking place across the Highlands of Scotland and will run from Wednesday 7 October to Sunday 11 October 2015.
