The walker was rescued after falling from Beinn Alligin at around 10.30am this morning. A police spokesman said he had suffered “multiple serious injuries” to his head and chest. He is also thought to have broken a leg. Torridon Mountain Rescue Team were called to rescue the man and also helped walk his walking partner down. The casualty was airlifted from the mountain by the Inverness-based coastguard helicopter Rescue 951 just after midday. He has now been taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness for treatment.
