Two weeks of roadworks are due to start next week on the A82 Inverness-Fort William road.
The work involves the resurfacing of a 1,530 yard stretch near Laggan Locks.
The £325,000 project is expected to take 10 days of work between 7am and 7pm from Monday to Friday, with no work planned at the weekend.
Temporary traffic lights and a 10mph convoy system will be in operation during the works.
Traffic management will be removed outwith working hours, although a speed limit of 30mph will remain in place as vehicles will be running on a temporary surface.
Eddie Ross, Bear Scotland’s operating company representative for the North West, said: “These essential works will improve the road surface at this section of the A82, benefiting road users for years to come.
“Some delays are inevitable and we would therefore encourage motorists to plan their journey ahead, where possible.”
Elsewhere roadworks on the A9 Inverness to Perth road south of Slochd which were due to start last month will now get underway on October 6.
The resurfacing job was originally due to start on August 24.
