A major search operation has been launched after a man was reported missing after going for a swim near the Skye Bridge
Andrew Gordon, 54, was last seen at 8.45am on Sunday in the area of the bridge and police believe that me may have gone for a swim in the area.
He was reported missing by a family member at 12.30pm after not returning.
The coastguard helicopter from Stornoway has been used to search the area around the bridge, while lifeboat crews from Kyle and Portree have both helped with the search operation.
Police have also been assisted by coastguard rescue teams from Kyle, Broadford and Portree, a police dog unit and the search and rescue dogs association.
Pleasure craft from nearby Kyleakin have also been used.
Mr Gordon, who is from the East Lothian area, was last seen wearing grey combat trousers and a “Guns & Roses” hooded top.
He is 6ft tall, of muscular build and has short shaved brown hair and a beard.
Anyone who has information is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101 or 999 in an emergency.
