A major search operation has been launched in Torridon for a hill runner last seen on Sunday.
Alexander Brett, 65, is believed to have visited the area last weekend and planned to run a route covering Beinn Eighe, Beinn Dearg, Beinn Alligan and Liathach.
He was reported missing yesterday.
Mr Brett, described as an experienced hill runner, is believed to wear trainers and carries a small rucksack or bum bag.
Police are co-ordinating the search this morning, with mountain rescue teams from Dundonnell, Torridon and the RAF helping with the operation.
A police dog unit and handlers from the Search and Rescue Dogs Association are also helping with the search as is the Stornoway Coastguard helicopter Rescue 948.
In a statement police said: “If anyone has seen Alexander, or may have information regarding his whereabouts, they are urged to contact police on 101 with information.
“Police would also be keen to speak to members of the public who may have recently been out walking in the Beinn Eighe, Beinn Dearg, Beinn Alligan and Liathach areas.”
