A man has died in hospital after falling from a Wester Ross mountain more than two weeks ago.
The hillwalker was airlifted from Beinn Alligin on the morning of Monday, September 14 after being involved in a rockfall.
He died yesterday in Raigmore Hospital in Inverness of his injuries.
The man, who was in his late 50s, is not thought to have been from the Highlands.
Torridon Mountain Rescue Team were called to rescue the man, who was then airlifted from the mountain by the Inverness-based coatstguard helicopter Rescue 951.
He had been in a critical condition in Raigmore ever since.
