The blaze is thought to have started in the East Street area of Balintore and a member of the public made the 999 call at 3.57pm this afternoon. A community response unit from the village and an appliance from Tain have been sent to tackle the flames. A fire service spokesman said the scale of the fire is unknown at this stage.
