Fishing boat breaks down in Highlands

A fishing boat is being assisted by Highland lifeboat teams after she broke down earlier today.

Stornoway Coastguard were alerted to the incident, after the vessel’s propeller failed, at Lochinver.

Lochinver lifeboat has been launched and will tow the ship back to harbour.

Meanwhile, in the Inner Hebrides, a woman is being transported from her home on the Isle of Eigg after she fell ill.

She is being taken to Mallaig by local lifeboat crews, but is not in a serious condition.
