Road resurfacing works on a section of the A9 Inverness-Perth road have been postponed by one week.
Transport Scotland is investing £520,000 to make improvements south of Slochd and at Badacreamh, just south of Daviot.
Works were due to start near Slochd on November 2 but they will now begin on November 9.
Repairs started last Friday to upgrade a 655-yard stretch of the southbound carriageway at Badacreamh, with drivers limited to 10mph under convoy for two weeks.
The second set of improvements near Slochdwill also last two weeks, with drivers again limited to a 10mph convoy for about half a mile.
Both sets of improvements will be carried out between 7am and 7pm each day from Monday to Friday with no works planned at weekends.
Traffic management will be removed outwith working hours to keep disruption to a minimum, although a speed restriction of 30mph will remain in place as traffic will be running on a temporary surface.
Motorists will also face five days of disruption from next Monday as work starts on an Inverness-shire road.
The B851 Errogie-Farr road, just north of the Flichity Bridge, will be closed temporarily for vehicles travelling in both directions while work is underway.
The work will start at 8am on Monday and is expected to end at 4pm on Saturday, October 31.
