Police on Skye recovered more than £700 of cocaine after executing search warrants in Portree at the weekend.
A 31-year-old man was due to appear at Portree Sheriff Court yesterday charged with drug supply offences.
A second male, aged 17, will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal due to having been found in possession of cannabis at an address in Rathad An Fheoir, Portree.
Sergeant Bruce Crawford, who led the operation, said: “Thanks to information being received from members of the public, we have been able to take enforcement action at two addresses in Portree that have been linked to the supply of controlled drugs.
“As a direct result of this we have taken a significant quantity of Class A drugs off the street and seized cash which can later be forfeited by the courts.
“I am grateful to the people of Portree for working with us, targeting those people amongst us intent on causing harm to our community and I would ask that people continue to report their concerns to us.
“The actions taken on Friday should serve as a warning to those who are supplying drugs and who may think they are untouchable, that we will proactively target them in order to disrupt their illegal activities.”
