Motorists using the A85 Oban to Perth road can expect delays near Connel at the end of this month.
A total of £140,000 worth of resurfacing work is to be completed east of Connel.
Work at the 0.86 mile section of the road will begin on Mon,day, November 30 and is expected to take up to five days to complete. The resurfacing will be carried out between 7am and 7pm each day.
The road will remain open, however a convoy system of traffic management will be in use to ensure the safety of road workers and motorists. Traffic management will be removed outwith working hours however a reduced speed limit will remain in place as traffic will be running over a temporary surface.
Eddie Ross, BEAR Scotland’s North West representative, said: “These essential resurfacing works will upgrade the existing road surface, creating a safer and smoother journey for road users.
“The traffic management arrangements are necessary due to the location of the works and unfortunately this means some disruption will be experienced. However, the safety of our workforce as well as the travelling public is paramount.
“We thank motorists for their patience in advance and would also encourage them to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up to date travel information.”
