Both police and the fire and rescue service were alerted to the collision – on the A832 between Poolewe and Aultbea – shortly before 3.30pm. Three appliances from Gareloch, Ullapool, and Aultbea are on their way to the scene. A fire and rescue service spokeswoman confirmed a man had to be freed from his car. The full extent of his injuries are unknown at this stage. The road has been closed in both directions.
