Woman injured in road accident on Skye

Police are appealing for witnesses

A woman has been injured in a road accident on Skye.

Her car left the A87 Broadford to Portree road at Sconser just after 9am this morning.

A police spokeswoman said the woman was not not thought to be seriously injured.

However, she was to be taken to hospital on Skye as a precaution.

The road was not blocked as the car had completely left the road.

A fire crew was also sent to the scene but was stood down soon afterwards.
