A Highland road was closed last night after a gritter and a car were involved in a crash.
Fire crews from Grantown and Carrbridge were called to the incident on the A95 at Dulnain Bridge at just after 3.30pm.
The car had gone off the road and down an embankment.
A casualty, understood to be female, was cut free fromt he car in a delicate operation.
Last night, she was not thought to be seriously injured.
A spokeswoman for the fire service said: “We were called to a two vehicle road traffic collision involving a snow plough and a car.
“Crews helped to stabilise the larger vehicle and freed a casualty from the car and then made the scene safe.”
The casualty was then passed into the care of the ambulance service.
The last fire crews left the scene just after 5pm.
The spokewoman added that the specialist heavy rescue unit from Inverness had initially been called but was stood down before reaching the scene.
Meanwhiile, another woman was taken to hospital after a road accident near a Highland beauty spot.
She was involved in an accident at about 8.40am at the southern end of Glenfinnan on the A830 “Road to the Isles” between Fort William and Mallaig.
No other vehicles were involved and the car has since been recovered.
The woman has been taken to Belford Hospital in Fort William by ambulance.
A police spokesman said that her injuries are believed to be minor.
