Bus company Stagecoach is reinstating a regular service between Evanton and Dingwall.
The firm has listened to concerns, raised by the public following recent changes to their timetable, and has announced revisions to their services from Tuesday, January 5.
Stagecoach have confirmed that timetables in Inverness, Dingwall and Wick will also be subject to revision following passenger feedback.
Service 22 and 25B will reinstate a service between Evanton and Dingwall predominantly on a Saturday. This change will also offer Culbokie a new link to Dingwall on a Saturday.
Recent cuts made to the service between Dingwall and Evanton – due to low passenger use – raised some concerns in the local community.
But Highland Council will subsidise an additional journey on this route from Monday to Friday to alleviate some of the concerns voiced by the local community.
Services 12 and 21 in Inverness will have minor revisions to accommodate an extra pick up on a school bus.
Following a recent parent council meeting at Wick High School. some changes will be made in the area to reflect the needs of the school to pick up pupils safely.
These am will also restore the school bus to Staxigoe in both the morning and evening.

The company is always keen to hear the views of local bus users and these changes show how we can work together with the Highland Council to improve frequency.”
