A man has been taken to hospital with serious head injuries following a two-car collision in the Black Isle.
The accident happened on the A832 Tore-Avoch road, about 2.5miles east of the Munlochy junction, at about 11am. The road remains closed.
A man with head injuries and a woman with suspected back injuries have both been taken by road ambulance to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.
A police spokesman said that the man’s head injuries are “believed to be serious.”
Fire crews, one each from Inverness and Fortrose, and a heavy rescue unit from Inverness, were also called to the scene earlier and made the scene safe.
