Police have named the two climbers who died after falling in Glencoe at the weekend.
Joe Smith, 23, who lived in Kinlochleven but was originally from the Lancashire area, died alongside 34-year-old Simon Davidson, from Edinburgh.
Mr Davidson was believed to have been an experienced mountain climbing instructor.
The pair are thought to have fallen “several hundred feet” in a suspected avalanche.
The alarm was raised by other climbers at 4.25pm on Saturday, with Glencoe Mountain Rescue Team attending and recovering the men from the hill, but they had had both died.
The police said a report would be sent to the procurator fiscal.
They also thanked members of the public and the mountain rescue team.
