Man assaulted in Aviemore

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in Aviemore.

A man in his 20s was taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness after the incident in the early hours of Thursday morning.

However police said that the man was not seriously injured.

The attack is said to have happened on a footpath between Dalfaber Road and Grampian Road at around 1am.

A police spokesman said that officers wanted to speak to two or three men who were seen in the area at the time.
