Drivers are encouraged to avoid the Drumochter Pass due to heavy snowfall
Police are warning drivers to avoid a busy stretch of road in the Highlands to to heavy snowfall.
Police officers are currently in attendance on the A9 at Drumochter Pass at Dalwhinnie to assist with heavy delays caused by today’s snowfall.
A police spokesman said: “Due to heavy snow, motorists are advised to avoid the A9 at Drumochter Pass at Dalwhinnie, if possible.
“The road remains open but due to the adverse weather, there is queing traffic and delays both Northbound and Southbound. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes where possible.”
