A police spokeswoman said that only cars are being allowed to cross the Cromarty Bridge on the A9 Inverness to Thurso road. A large box van overturned earlier today and blocked one of the lanes. Nobody was injured but an operation has been ongoing to clear the vehicle. The strong winds have meant that all vehicles apart from cars are being diverted through Dingwall. UPDATE: Cromarty Firth Bridge has now re-opened
