Drivers are advised the A9 is closed just south of the bridge at Georgemas following a road traffic collision. Police are advising motorists use alternative routes until further notice. The collision happened on the A9 Thurso-Helmsdale road just south of a bridge spanning the railway at Georgemas, at about 1.40pm. Two fire crews from Thurso, alongside one appliance from Wick and a heavy rescue unit from Inverness, have been called to the scene.
