Two men rescued from Ben Nevis

Two men were rescued on Ben Nevis after getting lost close to the summit.

Members of Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team were called to help the pair, who had taken refuge in the shelter at the top of the mountain.

Team leader John Stevenson said the men had become disorientated in a snowstorm.

A small group of four from the rescue team reached the men, who were cold and wet but otherwise unharmed.

The group walked down to a point where they could be collected by Prestwick-based coastguard helicopter Rescue 999 and taken to safety.
