A Ross-shire businessman’s home has been targeted by thieves who fled with a four-figure sum of money. Police have appealed for help to track down the raiders who struck at a house in the Stagcroft Park area of Tain at the weekend. The break-in at the home of a local restaurateur is thought to have happened between 2pm and midnight on Saturday. Anyone who witnessed the incident, or has information about it, should call the police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
