The driver is en route to Raigmore hospital in the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service. He is in a “serious condition” according to an ambulance service spokesperson. His car left the road just to the north of the Highland town on the A9 Inverness to Perth road just before 1pm. A police spokesman said that a car had gone off the road and into a ditch. Two ambulances and a local doctor attended the scene.
