A fire service spokesman said they received a call reporting the incident just after 12.50pm. The busy trunk road was closed shortly afterwards and reopened soon after 2pm. The spokesman said two appliances from Fort William attended at the scene and crews put cordons in place to isolate the area. Firefighters also used a hose reel jet to assist with dispersing the fuel. He added that no one had been hurt in the incident.
