Motorists are being warned to expect delays on the A86 Spean Bridge to Kingussie road for up to four days from Monday of next week.
Trunk roads maintenance agency Bear Scotland will be carrying out essential culvert maintenance, costing £30,000, on a short section of the road at Aite Cruinnichidh, to the east of Roy Bridge in Lochaber.
Temporary traffic lights will be in place between 7am and 7pm on weekdays during the works for the safety of the workforce and motorists.
Bear’s north west representative Eddie Ross said: “These essential culvert maintenance works will re-line the culvert beneath the A86, preventing water from leaking into the surrounding ground and undermining the carriageway during periods of heavy rain.
“We will work to complete the works as quickly as possible to keep disruption to a minimum and thank motorists in advance for their patience.”
