A woman was treated for smoke inhalation by firefighters called to tackle a fire in her Lochaber home this afternoon.
Fire crews had been returning from a blaze that destroyed two derelict caravans at Tomonie, near Banavie, when they received a call to a small fire in a bungalow in Caol.
A fire service spokeswoman said the incident at Tomonie was reported just after noon and two appliances from Fort William attended at the scene.
She said: “The fire was extinguished using two hose reel jets and a thermal imaging camera was used to check for hot spots.
“Nobody was hurt in the incident and the crews left the scene at 1.27pm.
“They were on their way back to the station when we received another call at 1.34pm to a small fire at a bungalow in Kilmallie Road.”
She said both appliances were diverted to Caol and vented the property, which suffered slight smoke damage.
The spokeswoman said: “The female occupant was treated for smoke inhalation and fire crews administered oxygen until the ambulance arrived.”
