A motorcyclist was taken to hospital last night following a crash with a car on a single track Argyll road.
The accident took place south of Oban on the road to Seil island off the A816 road to Lochgilphead.
A police spokeswoman said: “Police received a report of a collision between a car and a motorcycle around 5pm on the B844 Kilninver to Seil road near Loch Seil.
“The motorcyclist was taken by ambulance to the Lorn and the Islands Hospital in Oban. No details of his injuries are available, but they are not thought to be life threatening.”
Meanwhile, a man has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with an alleged traffic offence following a separate crash near Oban on Tuesday night.
The A85 Oban to Perth road was closed for about two hours between Oban and Dunbeg after the incident.
A police spokesman said: “At around 7.10pm on Tuesday police and emergency services responded to reports of a two vehicle road traffic collision on the A85 close to Dunbeg.
“A 42-year-old man was taken by air ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for suspected serious injuries. Medical staff later described his condition as stable.
“A 24-year-old man has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with an alleged road traffic offence.”
