Police have found a the body of a man in the Mallaig Harbour area.
The discovery was made by the Police Scotland Dive Team and Lifeboat in the Mallaig Harbour area during search efforts to trace missing person David Chamerlain.
Mr Chamberlain, 44, a visitor to the area, was last seen at around 1am on Saturday leaving the Marine Bar in Mallaig.
Police appealed for help to trace him and this afternoon a police spokesman said: “Members of the local community and wider public are thanked for their assistance with this matter.
“The man’s identity will be confirmed when next of kin are fully informed.”
