Fishermen join search for skipper following Western Isles crab boat tragedy

The search for a skipper missing since his crab boat sunk off the Western Isles is continuing today.
The bodies of Chris Morrison, 27, from Stornoway and 29-year-old Martin Johnstone from Halkirk in Caithness were recovered after the MV Louisa sank off Mingulay in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The boat’s skipper Paul Alliston, 42, remains missing, while fourth crewman Lachlann Armstrong, 27, managed to swim to safety.
Western Isle police, in partnership with the RNLI and UK Coastguard, are now contining the search for Mr Alliston today along with a number of local fishing boats.
A statement from the police said: “There is a co-ordinated Coastal Search being undertaken around Mingulay, Sandray, Berneray, and Pabbay.
“This search will be predominantly co-ordinated by MCA and RNLI with the assistance of a number of fishing vessels from across the Western Isles.”
