A fire has caused damage to a house in Caithness, including completely destroying a bed.
Firefighters were called to the property in Freswick just after 9.40am after reports of a fire.
Crews from Wick and John O’Groats attended and used hosereel jets and breathing equipment to tackle the blaze, which was brought under control by 11.15am.
A spokesman for the fire service said that a bed had been completely destroyed, while there was extensive fire damage to the bedroom.
The rest of the house was also affected by smoke damage.
Two casulaties were taken to a local medical centre by police.
The fire service spokesman described this as a “precaution”.
