UKIP’s David Coburn turned heads this evening when he turned up to the Dingwall count in the passenger seat of a plumber’s van.
Many social media users immediately resorted to toilet humour when they saw the Highland and Island candidate’s unusual ride, with some users posting “Here’s hoping his electoral ambitions get flushed down the drain tonight!” and others posting that he was “plumbing new depths in Scottish politics.”
But The MEP’s chauffeur Rob, who did not wish to give his last name, said his reason for giving Mr Coburn a lift was simple: “I’ve known David for about three or four years now, and he needed a lift so I just thought I’d give him a lift.
“I’m a big supporter.”
