A car was completely destroyed by fire in a residential area of Fort William in Lochaber this afternoon.
A fire service spokesman said they received a call about the blaze in Caithness Place, off Lundavra Road, at 6.05pm.
He said: “One pump from Fort William attended and firefighters used two hose reel jet and two sets of breathing apparatus to bring the fire under control.
“The vehicle was completely destroyed.”
He could not say whether anyone had been in the car when it caught fire, but said no one had been hurt in the incident.
The spokesman said the blaze was under control just before 6.30pm and the crew left the scene about 10 minutes later.
