A major search has been launched for a hill walker who is believed to have been missing in the Glencoe area of Lochaber since Sunday.
Police said concern was raised last night for 39-year-old Edward Davies, who is thought to have been walking in the area.
And they are appealing for information to assist them with their efforts to find him.
A police spokesman said: “It is believed Edward planned a hike in the area of Sgùrr na h-Ulaidh, Glencoe, on Sunday May 8, but has not been in contact with friends or family since.
“Edward has access to a white Toyota Aygo car, which was parked near to the Glencoe visitor centre.”
He said Glencoe Mountain Rescue Team (MRT) carried out searches last night.
And further searches are underway in the area today involving additional resources, including Oban MRT, police officers, dogs and a Coastguard search and rescue helicopter.
Mr Davies, who is from the Hampshire area, is described as white, 5ft 11in and of slim build with cropped dark brown hair, which is longer on top. He is likely to be wearing a blue waterproof jacket.
Anyone who saw a man matching this description in the Glencoe area on or since Sunday is urged to contact police on 101.
