An iconic Skye beauty spot, which has already featured in Hollywood blockbusters, is set for another new mystery starring role this week.
Five miles of the Quiraing Road – the C1225 Brogaig to Idrigill route – will be closed over the course of two days to traffic next week to allow filming to take place.
The area featured in the recent blockbuster Macbeth, starring Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard, and Stardust, with Robert De Niro and Michelle Pfeiffer, as well as several television programmes and commercials.
Highland Council has agreed to the latest filming road closure between Thursday at 7pm and 10.30pm on Friday.
But there have been no details released about the new project.
The film company has asked for its details and shoot to remain confidential.
A Highland Council spokeswoman said: “While we are aware of the filming in Skye, we also hold a confidential policy with any productions that reach out to the Film Commission.
“In this particular instance, the company specifically asked for the detail of the filming to remain confidential.”
