Nick Baker is returning to the Cairngorms Nature Festival
A children’s television presenter chose the three winners of a school art competition to highlight the nature of the Cairngorms.
Nick Baker was the judge for the first Cairngorms Nature School’s art competition on Saturday and the Cairngorms Nature Festival event in Aboyne.
More than 340 entries took part across three age categories and the winners were picked from a shortlist of 33.
The nursery-P3 agre group was won by Olivia Barclay, of Alvie Primary, with a collage of a child climbing a tree. Jennifer Brown, of Strathdon School, won the P4-P7 category with a sculpture of a red squirrel in a jar, and Annia from Grantown Grammar won the secondary school category with a painting of a Capercaillie.
All winners received a family day pass to the Highland Wildlife Park.
