Woman taken to hospital after crash on A834

A woman was taken to hospital after the car she was driving left the A834 Dingwall to Contin road near Strathpeffer during this morning’s rush hour.

A police spokeswoman said the incident was reported at about 7.50am.

She said the woman, who was the only person in the Vauxhall Corsa, was taken to hospital by ambulance as a precautionary measure.

She added that the road was closed briefly for the recovery of the vehicle.

An ambulance service spokesman said the woman, who was in her 20s, was in a stable condition when she was taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.
