Police have found a man’s body in the Glencoe area this afternoon.
Formal identification will now take place. The body is yet to be identified but the family of Edward Davies, who was reported missing in the area, have been informed.
The 39-year-old has not been seen or heard from since he left a note in a hire car saying he planned to go up Sgùrr na h-Ulaidh at Glencoe on Sunday May 8 and to return the same day.
Extensive searching has taken place in the area, involving members of Glencoe, Oban, Lochaber and RAF Mountain Rescue Teams in addition to SARDA dogs, police officers and the UK Coastguard helicopter Rescue 951.
