The cheviot ewes and lambs were removed from a field next to the A839 to the west of Rogart sometime in the last three weeks. Police said that a “number” of the sheep were taken. In a separate incident, officers are also investigating the reported theft of a two-year-old short horn cross cow. The red-coloured cow was reported stolen from an area to the north of Rogart. A spokeswoman for the force said: “Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have information about the incidents. “This can be done by calling 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
