Highland Council has appointed Badenoch and Strathspey councillor Jaci Douglas as its latest representative on the NHS Highland board.
Councillor Douglas is chairwoman of the area District Partnership for Badenoch and Strathspey and also heads the council’s working group on dementia.
She joins Black Isle councillor David Alston on the board, who recently succeeded Garry Coutts as chairman.
Ms Douglas said: “I am extremely pleased and privileged to be nominated as I’m passionate about partnership working and a joined up approach to health and wellbeing.
“I look forward to working across the Highlands to ensure we deliver the highest quality services to our population putting the person and the community at the heart of everything we do.”
Her appointment is subject to cabinet secretary approval.
