Emergency services were called at 5.15.pm and two fire units were sent to the scene. As a result of the smoke the A9 Inverness to Helmsdale road was closed between 6.55pm and 7.30pm. A fire spokeswoman said: “The fire is around 200 metres by 200 metres in size. “There are not believed to be any injuries but the fire is still ongoing.”
