Photograph by Matt McKinnon A Highland hotel has been placed on lockdown due to a serious ongoing incident. Police have been in attendance at the Tarradale Hotel in the Black Isle village since around 2pm this afternoon. A spokeswoman for the force said: “Police Scotland is currently responding to a disturbance in the Muir of Ord area. “There is no threat to public safety and the incident is contained. “Police would like to thank the public for their patience while the incident is dealt with.” Fire crews from Inverness and Dingwall are also in attendance. A spokeswoman for the service said the firefighters are “standing by” and are not actively involved. More to follow.
