Searches are continuing today for a 77-year-old man who has been missing in the Kyle area of Wester Ross for two days.
Roger Fletcher was last seen at around 8.30am on Sunday when he set off from a holiday home in Bundalloch, near Dornie, for a walk.
A police spokeswoman said: “Police officers, police and SARDA dogs and Kintail and RAF Mountain Rescue Teams are continuing to search areas around Dornie, where it is believed Mr Fletcher planned to walk.
She added that he walked with a stoop and used two walking poles to assist him.
She said: “Police are increasingly concerned for Mr Fletcher’s welfare and urge anyone who saw him in the area since Sunday to make contact via 101.
“Local residents and visitors are asked to check gardens, outbuildings and sheds in case Mr Fletcher has taken shelter.”
He is described as having white hair and wearing glasses. It is understood he may be carrying a small khaki-coloured rucksack.
Anyone with any information that may assist police with their inquiries is asked to call 101.
